About our foodbank
Here is an introduction to our project.
The Long Eaton and Sawley foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.
We operate from four different centres, Christchurch and the Baptist church in Long Eaton, in Sawley and in Castle Donington. The foodbank in Sawley doubles as a useful storage space, allowing us to stock extra supplies that can be transported to the Long Eaton and Donington centers when they’re running low on food.
We have a team of experienced volunteers who give up their spare time to make all of this possible. During opening hours, we have at least 3 volunteers along with a session supervisor to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
